The Role

We’re looking for a Duty Bar Manager to join our team at our Jewellery Quarter bar. 

You’ll be working closely with a small friendly team to help deliver great beer and a great experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Serving beer to a high standard, ensuring every pint looks and tastes as it should
  
• Providing a friendly, welcoming experience for all customers
  
• Taking orders and handling payments efficiently
  
• Maintaining cleanliness across the bar and taproom 
  
• Supporting with opening and closing procedures
  
• Restocking fridges and bar areas as needed
  
• Confidently talking to customers about our beers and making recommendations
  
• Assisting with events
  

We’re Looking For

• 1 year experience in a supervisory role
  
• Must be able to work Sundays, plus additional shifts throughout the week
  
• Reliable, comfortable and confident working alone as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  
• Cocktail experience (not essential, but nice to have)
  
• An interest in beer (no need to be an expert, just curious)
  
• Friendly, approachable, and confident with customers
  
• Passion for the industry, positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
  
• Good attention to detail, especially when it comes to quality and cleanliness

Attic, founded in 2018, is an independent brewery and taproom based in Stirchley, Birmingham.  We opened our barrel ageing bar, The Barrel Store, in 2023, offering customers an exciting city centre location.  We focus on producing high-quality, modern and traditional beers with an emphasis on balance, drinkability, and character.

As a community-focused business, we’re passionate about creating a welcoming space in our taproom and working with other independent businesses across the city.
